About Samvit Sudha USA
Samvit Sudha USA is an IRS-certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (Tax ID: 39-2594936), registered in the State of Pennsylvania. We support women’s empowerment in rural India through meaningful commerce.
Our journey in the United States began through the heartfelt efforts of Philly DIY (www.phillydiy.com), a small, family-run business based in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, led by Vikram and Gauri Agrahar. Known for their personalized gifts and live-edge wood home décor, Vikram and Gauri have always been driven by creativity, innovation, and a deep commitment to community impact.
Philly DIY was instrumental in introducing Samvit Sudha products to the United States. With passion and purpose, they sold these products through their platform and ensured that 100% of the proceeds were sent back to support Samvit Sudha’s mission.
As awareness and demand for these exceptional handcrafted products grew, so did the vision to create a broader, more sustainable platform. With the continued encouragement of a generous and engaged community, Samvit Sudha USA was established as an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Being a separate entity allows Samvit Sudha USA to expand nationwide, strengthen volunteer engagement, and amplify our impact.
Samvit Sudha USA was founded on June 15, 2025, with a simple yet powerful mission: to expand the reach of meaningful, handcrafted products while supporting the communities and artisans behind them.
Founding & Board Members
Vikram Agrahar and Gauri Agrahar are the Founding Members of Samvit Sudha USA and currently serve on its Board of Directors. They are joined on the Board by Shashank Udyawer, Milind Gokarn and Shruti Balwalli-Udyawer. We remain committed to empowering communities, promoting meaningful craftsmanship, and creating lasting change.
Who We Are
Samvit Sudha USA is a volunteer-driven, nonprofit initiative, powered by a dedicated team of core members and supporters committed to transforming lives.
We source handmade, ethically produced products such as embroidered pouches, paper gift bags, journals, and totes, all crafted by women artisans working with Samvit Sudha® India in rural communities.
By offering their creations in the U.S., we provide these women with a steady income, a sense of purpose, and a path toward financial independence.
Though we operate independently in the United States, our inspiration and values are deeply rooted in the legacy of Samvit Sudha® India, a movement born from a deep spiritual commitment to uplifting human lives.
Our Inspiration: Samvit Sudha® India
Founded on June 14, 1999, under the blessings of His Holiness Shrīmat Sadyojāt Shankarāshram Swāmījī, 11th Guru in the 300+ year-old lineage of Shrī Chitrāpur Math, India,
Samvit Sudha® India was established in honor of His Holiness Shrīmat Parijñānāshram Swāmījī III, a visionary whose ideals of compassion, self-reliance, and dignity continue to guide its mission.
More than a livelihood program, it is a transformative movement that empowers rural women by:
- Fostering creativity and self-worth
- Imparting income-generating skills
- Promoting values of dignity, autonomy, and respect

Women who were once financially dependent are now self-reliant, confident, and respected within their families and communities. They’re becoming role models for the next generation, reshaping societal norms, one life at a time.

At Samvit Sudha USA, we serve as a platform for awareness, engagement, and commerce, bringing beautifully handcrafted products from rural India to conscious consumers in the U.S.
